Overview

As Senior Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager, you will be responsible for one of the largest budgets in the Marketing organization, driving business KPIs such as sales, new customer acquisition, and traffic to our ecommerce website ODPBusiness.com through paid search and shopping. You will report to the Director of Ecommerce and will work to define the paid search and shopping channel strategy, and work alongside the marketing team optimize the customer journeys.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive SEM strategies to drive online visibility, improve search rankings, and increase website traffic to meet business KPIs such as sales, new customer acquisition, and
  • ecommerce website traffic.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to define paid search and shopping channel strategies, and effectively communicate SEM strategy, performance, and insights to marketing senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage and optimize SEM campaigns across multiple platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other search advertising networks to ensure maximum ROI and alignment with business objectives.
  • Own the forecasting and on-going management of the SEM budget, including reconciliation with finance to ensure efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
  • Deliver thought leadership on Paid Search and Shopping’s role in the Marketing ecosystem track industry innovation and lead proactive insights on channel opportunities to drive best-in-class channel strategies.
  • Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret key performance metrics, apply KPIs to SEM execution and bid management, and drive continuous optimization of SEM campaigns for improved performance and ROI.

 

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of digital marketing experience and at least 5 years SEM experience
  • Special Certifications: Google Ads certifications (such as Google Ads Search Certification, Google Ads Display Certification) preferred.
  • Technical Competencies & Information Systems:
    • Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information, and to access information necessary to complete the job.
    • Google Marketing Platforms and Bing Ads, specifically Search Ads 360 (SA360) and Google Analytics 360 (GA360); and Google Ads; Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience helpful but not required.

  • Skills & Abilities:

    • Management and mentorship of junior team members to meet annual goals.
    • Deep knowledge of SEM best practices, tools and technologies
    • Must understand key performance metrics against diverse marketing goals and how to apply those KPIs to SEM execution, bid management and insight development.
    • Detail-oriented with strong capabilities around to project management and follow-through
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Excellent communication (written/verbal) and presentation skills.

*Remote: While this position does not currently require relocation, candidates within a radius of our physical locations, including, but not be limited to Boca Raton, Itasca, and Austin, will be required to work in the office a minimum of two days a week beginning in August 2024.

    Overview
